TANGHU MIDDLE SCHOOL, THURSDAY---The second English corner was held on the fifth floor of the teaching building. It started from 6:20 p.m. and finished at 6:45 p.m. It’s a good place for students to improve their spoken English.
The topic for this English corner was: “Which place do you prefer to live, the city or the countryside? Why?” The students were divided into two groups. While one group chose to live in the city, the other group chose to live in the countryside. All of the students were excellent, and everyone had a chance to express his/her own ideas. The two groups debated with each other, and at last, the group which preferred to live in the city won. However, the other group was not upset. The foreign teacher encouraged the students a lot, and the students said they fell fortunate to have an English corner in Tanghu Middle School.
There is a saying: Practice makes perfect. There is another old saying: When there is a will, there is a way. So just trust yourself and show your confidence.
